Roger A. Moss

Roger A. Moss has an extensive background in commercial real estate negotiation, dispute resolution, and executive leadership. Known for strategic insight and getting things done, people have sought Roger’s counsel in addressing complex disputes in a variety of contexts, from Honolulu to Manhattan.  He has channeled 30 years’ experience into the creation of groundbreaking real estate dispute resolution and prevention techniques and into the creation of programs that have stabilized thousands of homes, small business locations, and facilitated constructive dialogue in traumatized communities.

Roger is known for creative thinking and negotiation success. Since 2017, Roger has served over 5,000 mediation participants directly or through programs he designed and managed. These cases generated a stunning 97% positive settlement rate. Early intervention, compassionate collaboration, and creating value for all participants drive his success.

Roger also advocates for communications best practices and relationship building that can avoid or mitigate disputes. Countless property managers, brokers, legal advocates, and mediators have received training designed by Roger. 

Roger created and trademarked Radical Neutral Advocacy ™ which he applies to all of his negotiations and training. Radical Neutral Advocacy is an approach that is neither for or against anyone. It creates value for and is a process that respects everyone.

Roger formed Rincon Resolutions and then Roger A Moss Real Estate Resolutions to make his services available to real estate professionals and real estate consumers throughout California and beyond.

Through frequent appearances at dispute resolution conferences, legal education forums, and related publications,  Roger A. Moss leads international dialogue on superior dispute resolution for real estate.

Roger graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UC Berkeley, where he studied medieval history and spun vinyl at the legendary KALX FM. A graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law, Roger is a member of the California and Washington State Bar Associations.

 

Roger’s personal interests include historic preservation, conservation of natural landscapes, animal welfare, and noetic sciences. He is also an avid space, ambient music, and cinema fan. He grew up in Redondo Beach, California, and has been blessed to live in many beautiful, wildly diverse American landscapes from upcountry Maui to the low-country of South Carolina. He loves and seeks out landscapes that offer history, mystery and great views.
